We don’t know what we don’t know…

We don’t know what we don’t know…

Until it’s too late

It’s 5.25 pm on a Saturday evening and two friends from out of the area were desperate to get a new outfit for their night out. They went into the village where they knew there were two boutiques. As they arrived at the first the shop manager said we’re closing and shut the door in their faces. Apart from being extremely rude, she made no attempt to cushion the blow with an apology.

Determined to ensure that the journey was worthwhile they hot-footed across the road to the other shop who was also closing and cashing up. The manager there just said come on in, the difference being that she had given them the chance to explain what they wanted and what for. It took less than a minute for them to do that and they then shopped for a further 45 minutes spending several hundreds of pounds.

For those of you, that know the film “Pretty Woman,” one of my favourite movies remember the scene where she went shopping for something nice to wear and they were mean to her.
